Welcome to “Heal Thy Self”, an established counselling, mediation & psychotherapy service.
Welcome To Heal Thy Self
Life doesn’t have to be falling apart for you to reach out for support. Many people come to counselling because something simply doesn’t feel right - feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. If that resonates with you, you are in the right place.
Heal Thy Self is an established counselling, psychotherapy and mediation practice offering a warm, supportive, and confidential space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what is going on for you - at your own pace.
My name is Helen Molloy, and I work primarily as a counsellor and psychotherapist, supporting individuals and couples through differing mediums of talking therapy to better understand themselves, their emotions, and their relationships, and to reconnect with what brings meaning and fulfillment.
How I Work
I am an accredited integrative person-centered and object relations counsellor, drawing from several schools of psychotherapy. This means I adapt how we work together to suit you - there is no one-size-fits-all approach.
I offer short-term and long-term counselling, couples counselling, mediation, and coaching. Many clients begin with individual counselling, and we can talk together about whether other approaches may be helpful - you don’t need to know that upfront.
Our sessions are led by what feels most important to you. You decide what we explore and the pace we move at, and I will support you with care, honesty, and compassion.
What You Can Expect From Counselling
Starting counselling can feel like a big step - especially if you are not sure what you need or where to begin. You don’t need to have the right words, a clear goal, or a crisis to justify being here.
Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, carrying pain and emotions we don’t always know how to manage. This can affect our relationships, our confidence, and our enjoyment of life., taking up much of our energy and thoughts. It is easy to believe something is wrong with us - but often, the truth is simply that we have not learned the skills to navigate these tough times or were taught to ignore or bury our emotions instead of exploring them.
With guidance, you can develop the skills to manage difficult moments, strengthen relationships, make clearer decisions, and feel more confident, resilient, and hopeful about the future.
In our work together, I will:
Offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space.
Listen deeply, with empathy and respect.
Help you make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Gently notice patterns in how you relate to yourself and others, connections, and recurring themes
Support you to explore new or alternative perspectives.
Help you connect with emotions held in the body.
Use tools where helpful to challenge self-limiting beliefs.
At times I may guide, reflect or gently challenge - always with your consent and in a way that feels supportive rather than overwhelming.
Location & setting
I work from the Holt area of North Norfolk, in a quiet, private setting surrounded by trees and open fields. The space offers privacy, calm and a sense of breathing room away from everyday pressures. On-site parking is available.
For clients who find movement and nature supportive, walk-and-talk sessions are available. Woodland paths and the beach can be accessed on foot via Kelling Heath Park, allowing therapy to take place in a grounded, natural environment.
