“I went to see Helen because my anger was getting in the way of my relationship and we just kept going round in circles. Working with Helen helped me understand where my anger came from and what was driving it. It was not always easy, but I am glad I stuck with it. I feel better about myself now and it has made a dramatic difference to my relationship.”

“To put it simply, Helen has changed my life. I’m about to have my tenth session with her, and I can honestly say that starting this journey has been the best decision I’ve ever made for my mental health.

I’ve been in and out of therapy throughout my life and had reached a point where I believed it just didn’t work for me. I never felt fully seen or understood by previous therapists—sessions felt clinical, detached, and lacking in real empathy. But from the very beginning, working with Helen felt completely different.

She is professional, highly skilled, deeply empathetic, patient, and genuinely supportive. For the first time in my life, I feel truly seen and validated—and that, in itself, has been profoundly healing.

The challenges that brought me to therapy include anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, past trauma, trapped emotion, low self-esteem, difficulties in both familial and romantic relationships, and the experience of living with chronic physical and mental illness. We’ve explored so much already, and I deeply appreciate the way Helen gently unpacks whatever comes up. She helps me make sense of what’s happened, understand how it’s shaped me, and move forward with greater clarity, self-compassion, and strength.

With her support, I’ve begun to notice subtle (yet deeply meaningful) shifts. Each session allows me to release emotions I didn’t even realise I was carrying, and for the first time in a long while, I feel a sense of hope. I’m beginning to believe that one day, I might feel okay again—and that with her guidance and my continued commitment, I truly can get there.

I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend Helen to anyone seeking therapy—especially those who feel deeply and want to be met with real empathy, insight, and care. In fact, I’ve already recommended her to others, and I truly believe that anyone who gets the chance to work with her is incredibly lucky.

Thank you, Helen.”

“We came into mediation feeling cynical and unsure whether it would help at all. We were sleeping in separate rooms and felt more like flatmates than a couple. We were both blaming each other and had completely different ideas about what needed to change. Having someone independent who didn’t know either of us made it much easier to open up. Helen made us feel at ease straight away and instinctively knew when one of us was struggling, always giving us space, time out and reassurance when it was needed. The day never felt rushed and helped us really understand what each of us needs from the other.

We are now in couples therapy working through the obstacles we identified, and Helen is supporting us in getting back to a place of love and understanding, which is what we both want. We have been through too much together to throw our marriage away. To anyone else who is struggling, do not give up — this was exactly the support we needed, and we are incredibly grateful to Helen for her gentle, compassionate approach and expertise”

"When it was suggested that I try counselling I was dubious but thought I would give it a go - I’m so very glad I did. Quick background. I had been caring for my husband who has Alzheimer’s and working full time. I was about ready to break. Talking to Helen helped me to cope with all sorts of emotions and to understand myself much better. Not everything is about the present, your past forms the person you become in later life. Life for me is now so much better in many ways. So all I can say is give counselling a try, you have much to gain and little to lose. Without Helen helping me I don’t know how I would have coped."
